Something extraordinary happened to me and my dad last night, and I felt a strong urge to document it today while it was still fresh in my mind. So that's what I did. Here's what went down.
My dad was over for dinner last night. He had just flown in from North Carolina. I picked him up from Logan Express in Framingham after work and brought him to our apartment for a meal and a hang.
Around 7:30 pm, it was time for me to drive him home and call it a night. We hopped in my car and headed west on Route 111 towards his home.
We got to chatting about work, life and dad stuff as we drove. The subject switched to UFOs, something we had been discussing earlier over dinner. I mentioned to him that I had been going pretty deep on the UFO research lately. He asked me, "Is there new stuff happening?" and I explained that yes, there is a whole lot going on, it just doesn't get much coverage in mainstream media and you have to actively seek it out. Our conversation then switched to the New Jersey drones. I explained to him how the Trump administration had tried to explain away the situation as "FAA approved research drones," but that there was very much still a mystery going on, not being spoken about to the public.
At this exact moment, my dad noticed something in the sky to our left. We were still driving along Route 111/Massachusetts Avenue. Specifically, we were in Harvard, Massachusetts, driving towards the town center, with the Hildreth Elementary School on our right and the Harvard Public Library on our left.
I followed suit and looked up at the sky to our left, and we both observed two large, bright, white-colored objects. "Are those planets?" I said to him. In recent months in our area of Massachusetts, there have been many nights where other planets like Mars and Jupiter are visible in the night sky as sizable, round, bright dots. "No, those are way too big to be planets," he replied. I looked back to the objects again and he was correct, they were far too large to be planets that are visible in the night sky. They were at least 5 times larger than the biggest star or planet you can see on any given night. They also seemed to be moving, but ever so slightly. Almost like a subtle glide or hover movement. And they were not far off the ground, roughly 200 or 300 feet above the tree tops. It was a very clear night, with no clouds in the sky, so we got quite a good look at these objects as we drove past them. They weren't perfectly round circles, but rather slightly oval with a bulbous shape to them, and their outer edges had a glowing, luminous quality. There was one "primary" object that was bigger and closer to us, and a "secondary" object that was slightly smaller and off to the distance and to the right of the larger one.
We approached the four-way intersection at the center of town, with the Harvard General Store to our left. At this point, we had both become fixated on these objects. My dad wondered if they were "tower lights," but we both ruled that out pretty quickly from their size and slight movements. Also, on my return trip home after dropping him off, I stopped my car on the side of the road at the exact spot where we witnessed these objects. The lights were no longer present in the sky, verifying that they were definitely not stationary "tower lights".
"Let's go check them out!" my dad proclaimed as we craned our necks further to the left to get more glimpses of the objects as they came in and out of view from behind buildings and trees, and as we began to drive away from them. We were initially a little spooked by the encounter, but had become more intrigued and excited than scared at this point. I did briefly consider turning left off of Route 111 to approach the objects. It was very tempting to go get a closer look and attempt to capture some photos and videos. Nonetheless, I decided to keep driving. It was approaching 8:00 pm, and I had another 25 minutes of driving to get my dad home, plus the 30 minutes to get myself back home. My wife and son would be waiting for my return, and I was quite tired from an early rise and a busy day at work. A younger version of myself who did not have a family to get home to may have decided to take the journey, but it was not the right decision for me at the time.
We drove onwards and left the objects behind. We were in a state of wonderment for a few minutes, trying to process what we just saw, but then shifted back into a normal cadence of conversation. I should note that we were both of sound mind when this event occurred. We had both had about one and a half drinks with dinner — he had a glass and a half of red wine, and I had a half glass of red wine and one Harpoon IPA — but otherwise, we had not consumed any sort of mind-altering or psychoactive substances. It was very definitive that we both saw these two objects in the sky, and we could not easily identify what they were, which to me classifies this event as a UFO sighting. Neither of us made any mention of the objects possibly being a plane or helicopter. Their luminosity, odd shape and movements ruled that out of our minds immediately.
I have heard many stories of UFOs, and have often looked to the sky, day and night, wondering if I would ever see something anomalous. That day has come, and it felt quite surreal. The synchronicities of the event are also very mind-bending. I had been deeply researching UAP for several months leading up to this event. I had also been working on the first piece for my new UAP project for weeks, and just officially launched the project today. I don't know if these activities and events are connected, but I do feel more connected to something lately, and that I am on an interesting path. Maybe it was a coincidence, or maybe those who study the phenomenon in a certain way are eventually bound to experience it. For now, I will chalk up last night's sighting as a very interesting experience and data point.
